In effect from 6 November 2026
- We don't sell your data, show ads or run third-party analytics or trackers.
- We only share your data with the storage provider that holds your uploaded files, or when the law requires it.
- Your card is public by design. Don't put anything on it you wouldn't hand to a stranger.
- Your content stays yours, and you can have it deleted.
Who we are
Business Card is run by [operator legal name]. Write to us at [contact email] about anything in these terms. By creating an account you agree to them.
Invitations and accounts
Business Card is invite only. Each invite link works once and expires after 30 days. Once you have an account, you can invite as many people as you like, but please only invite people who'd welcome it. Your account records who invited you.
You need to be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and at least 16. Keep your password safe, because we can't reset it for you yet. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
Your card is public
Everything on your card can be seen by anyone who can reach this site, without signing in: your name, role, company, contact details, location, introduction, photo and links. New cards also appear under Latest signups on the home page. People can download your details as a contact file and keep them, so anything they've already saved stays with them even after you change your card.
Your content
You keep all rights to what you add. You give us permission to store, display and deliver it, only so that Business Card can work. That permission ends when your content is deleted, apart from copies other people already saved.
Only upload photos and images you have the right to use, and only add contact details that are yours to share.
Using Business Card
Don't impersonate anyone, harass people, send spam, link to malware or anything illegal, or try to break, scrape or overload the service. We may remove content or close accounts that do, and we'll tell you why when we reasonably can.
What we keep
- Your account: sign-in email, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), and when you accepted these terms.
- Your card: the details, photo, links and thumbnails you add.
- Your activity: the cards you save, your exchange requests, and the invites you create and accept.
- In your browser: one cookie that keeps you signed in, plus your colour theme choice. Neither tracks you, so there's no cookie banner.
We use this only to run Business Card. Our legal basis is providing the service you signed up for.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers, data brokers or analytics companies, and we don't use it to train AI. Business Card doesn't load third-party scripts, trackers or fonts.
There's one exception for running the service. Uploaded files are stored with [object storage provider], which holds them on our instructions and can't use them for anything else. We'd also disclose data if the law required it. Links on your card lead to other sites, whose own terms apply once someone follows them.
Your rights
You can change your card at any time. Write to us to get a copy of your data, correct it, object to how we use it, or have your account and uploaded files deleted. Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, you may also complain to your data protection authority.
No guarantees
We provide Business Card as it is, without promising it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses or lost data. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law doesn't let us limit.
Changes and ending
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you before it takes effect. You can stop using Business Card and ask us to delete your account whenever you like.
These terms are governed by the law of [country of governing law].
